Have you received a popup on your Windows XP computer indicating that your copy of Windows or Office is a pirated version?

Now you won't be able to receive any updates from Microsoft and you thought that you purchased it legit...  Now you have to pay Microsoft for that software you thought you paid for.  What if someone stole your key?  Read on to find out how to completely eliminate the popup on your computer and at the same time fight piracy.

Microsoft has recently targeted pirated versions of their software through the internet with their Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) or Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program in order to help prevent piracy, which is installed with one of the updates to XP lately.  I hadn't had a chance to run the latest update on my machine because I didn't want to reboot it, but without my permission it installed it anyways (I have automatic updates disabled) and I had to reboot when I didn't want to.  Hmm...

Now we see the true colours of Microsoft's plan!  Maybe they have intentionally created flawed software as part of their plan to sell more of their software, or maybe their software is really so bad that they have to resort to using their "patchy" updates as a weapon against pirated versions out there.  That's like a bank halting the interest on your savings account because someone stole your bank card.

I don't want to say if this WGA is good idea or a bad idea, but it will have some negative results for the software giant, think about the poor people who paid for a legitimate copy of Windows XP or Microsoft Office but the vendor that sold it sold a pirated version.  All is not lost!  We have the answer for the people who want to fight piracy and not worry about whether or not they've been ripped off by some seedy software vendor.

Our solution is rooted in the open source initiative to provide alternative software solutions to expensive proprietary and off-the-shelf software.  Open source software is free, you don't have to worry about piracy, there is no such thing as a pirated version of open source software.  This is your best stand against software piracy, and by moving over to such software won't set you back, in fact you'll be saving the industry thousands of dollars.  If more and more people continue to contribute and support open source, then over time the industry will have saved millions if not billions of dollars.  Support will soon mean inexpensive customization.  What a concept, more money to pay people that actually do the work in the industry!

Over the last decade the software industry has experienced an interesting twist in the development of open source software where many major businesses are supporting open source initiatives such as Google, Sun, IBM to name a few.  Open source should not be viewed as a difficult to use, or difficult to learn software, but in fact is and will be easier to use since one of the interesting side effects of having free software is the quality and security of the software increases drastically.  Such open source software that's available are complete operating systems (e.g. Linux), complete office suite software (e.g. OpenOffice.org), full content management systems (e.g. Joomla), Customer Resource Management tools (e.g. SugarCRM), and stable web browsers (e.g. FireFox).  All of these software programs are truly competitive and perform better in most instances than most off-the-shelf software.

One of the major stumbling blocks to most organizations concerning the switch is the the transition.  Keep in mind that with the latest version of MS Office there are enough changes in the software that you will have to learn all over again how to use it anyways. So we're here to help you with that because once you've switched you won't want to turn back and our support will show you how free you can become when using powerful software such as open source, as a major and beautiful feature of all open source software is the open source.  Customization of open source software to suit has never been easier.

Another thing you don't really have to worry about with open source is a software company dropping off the radar and no longer supporting their software (hint, hint).  With open source, if the product is worthwhile, the development simply "changes hands".
